Clay County Heritage Center

The Clay County Heritage Center is located in downtown Spencer. It opened in July 2012 and houses two galleries and the bulk of our collection. A permanent exhibition in the Dvergsten Gallary titled “This Land We Call Home – Settling Clay County” illustrates archeological, pioneer, and early Clay County histroy, including the 1931 Spencer Fire.

Open hours:

  • Tuesday – Friday 10 AM – 4 PM
  • Saturday 10 AM – 3 PM
  • Closed Sunday and Monday
